The Tropical Rain Forests.....Are They Really Going To Vanish?

Rain Forest Information!

I don't know about all of you, but The Tropical Rain Forests of the world, are such a part of our everyday life, and we don't even realize it, or apperciate it! The Rain Forests have so many trees and animals, insects, you couldn't even imagine it! All of the trees in the Rain Forest are accountable for mass production of oxygen. The trees use the carbon dixiode and turn it into oxygen. All of you know, that if it wasn't for trees, we'd be walking around with oxygen masks... Life on earth would be almost impossible if the Rain Forests are destroyed. The Rain Forests help keep our ecology in tact, they also control the green house effect. If we lose the Rain Forests, the temperatures will rise. The humidity will rise. Life will be miserable. We need to realize what an important part of our life the Rain Forests play. And help save them! This picture is a picture of a Water fall in the Tropical Rain Forests of South America, in Brazil. Do you know that 55 million acres are being destroyed a year? Everday,a section of the Tropical Rainforests are cut down, the size of Delaware. This Horrible Deforistation that has been taking place, is killing life we haven't discovered. We don't know what we cut down. Weather it be good or bad. We could be cutting down cures for diseases, or getting rid of a plague that would have been possible from a species of animal or insect even plant we could discover. But don't you think it's worth it to let is survive, and see what we can learn? Knowledge makes us strong. And right now, we are doing the most unintelligent thing know to man. Cutting down an important factor in our lives. Why no one has done anything, I don't know. But something needs to be done! We can still right the wrong we have started! Because once the rainforest is cut down, it'll take millions of years to regrow! The Rain Forests are being cut down, to be used as grazing land for animals, such as cows. They use a method called Slash and Burn. Which is where they cut the trees down and then burn them. Leaving ashes. Then they plant the grass seed in the ashes. The grass grows very well, because of all of the fertlization, from decayed trees , animals, and other things, but once the grass is grown, after one of two years, the land is infertile. It won't grow anymore. Because of the lack of nutrient. They then have to cut more of the Rain Forest down. And this process goes on and on. People just need to learn about the Rain Forests and maybe they would care more!

I'm really an enviromentalist! When it comes to littering and the Rain Forest, I am really worried! We are here, and not even worrying about what we are doing to the Earth! I mean, the RainForests in South America are our main source ofoxygen. In fact 60% of our oxygen comes from theRain forest. When all of the rain forests are gone, then we'll have only 40% of our total supply of oxygen. Not only is the oxygen a problem, while they cut millions of trees down a day, species that have never been discovered, are being extincted. The cure for AIDS and Cancer haven't been found, what if they were in the Rain Forest, and we just cut them down, and away. All those people who are dying from awful diseases; we could have a cure for it! I just wish that someone ; everyone would realize how special the TrTropical Rain Forests are, and how much we need to conserve them. I would love to start a Enviromental group. But we need funding. If someone out there is willing to fund a program, let's do something about it. Let's save the world!Respect where we live! We need to do something, and if only one person is willing to do something, nothing will ever get done, but if everyone is willing to cooperate, then something can be done! If anyone is also concerned , please e-mail me, and we'll try to start a world wide club, that actually does something, and not just says, "Let's save the Earth."
